ARTWORKS:  I know very little about documentation or whether it may still exist. I do not think that there is anyone else left who would remember much.  Documents of sale and provenance may survive, but I have never seen them.  All I can say is based on recollections of things that Marguerite said “off the cuff” when walking by this or that object.  She certainly talked about sales in France, espec. at the Louvre, after WWII.  Thus much of my knowledge in this area is hearsay and partial.
